UConn gets new uniforms

The University of Connecticut football team will wear a new style of uniforms beginning with the 2009 season and those uniforms were unveiled at a press conference at Rentschler Field on Tuesday. The uniforms are manufacutred by Nike — a major UConn corporate partner — and feature the latest in fabric technology. The uniforms are lightweight and designed to be comfortable and flexible for the Husky players. The new Husky uniforms feature the UConn block “C” in the V-neck portion of the jersey. “We believe strongly in the ‘C’ logo,” says UConn head coach Randy Edsall. – UConnHuskies.com
