Phil Savage did indicate he wants another chance to build an NFL team. “Obviously, I’m looking around, checking into a lot of different areas,” he said. “I’m a football guy. I’ve worked 22 years in a row. I enjoy football. I love the sport. It’s something I’ve always done. I certainly would want to stay close to it.” Savage would not confirm that he has turned down the chance to join the Detroit Lions in a personnel capacity. “I’ve talked to a lot of teams.
