Veteran J.B. Grimes interviewed Wednesday for the offensive line coach position on the staff of new head coach Gene Chizik, AuburnUndercover.com has learned. Grimes was the offensive line coach at Mississippi State for the past five seasons but left after Sylvester Croom resigned as head coach and was replaced by former Florida offensive coordinator Dan Mullen. While at Mississippi State, Grimes produced a DVD entitled “J.B. Grimes: Offensive Line Run Game Fundamental Drills and Techniques.” Grimes had talks with Chizik and offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn. He is at least the second potential offensive line coach Chizik and Malzahn have interviewed, joining Gulf Coast Community College head coach Steve Campbell. – AuburnUndercover.com
